INTERIOR DESIGN
 
 
 
 

BACHELOR OF INTERIOR DESIGN (BID)

               

OBJECTIVES: 

  • To train a self-reliant professional who can enter the profession of Interior Designing.
  • To meet the ever-increasing demand of qualified interior designers in Urban/semi-urban Centers and abroad.

ELIGIBILITY:   

The course is framed in such a way that it is not only a pure technological or scientific course but also gives training of Management Skills, Aesthetic Skills and fieldwork experience to the students. Hence students are admitted from science, arts, commerce and vocational, engineering and technological disciplines.

B.I.D. (First Year)

  • HSC (10+2) Maharashtra and S.S.C. Board or equivalent Board of any State.
  • Passing of (10+2) Course in Architecture, Civil, Construction Technology, Building Supervisor, Arch. Asst. Arch/Civil Draughtsman recognized by the Technical Education Board or University.
  • Preferences shall be given to the students who have passed intermediate Drawing grade examination or technical qualification.

Merit list will be displayed on the Notice Board of the institute as per the rules and regulation of University.

B.I.D. (Second Year)

Diploma Course in Interior Design or Architecture, DCE, DEE, DME of (10+3) year’s duration conducted by Board of Technical Education or any other Government authority of any state.

B.I.D. (Third Year) 

Diploma Course in Interior Design (10+2+2) year duration recognized by any University or board of any State. In addition two months full-time practical training experience as per rules.

Note:-

1. Passing marks for each paper will be 40% and for sessional work the  
    passing marks is 50% of total marks.

2.  For the subject Environmental Studies Grade will be awarded as per
     the rules.     

3.  Practical training on the related subjects in the respective semesters
     will be given to the students. 

4.   Internship: Six months full time or 12 months part time (including university holidays)
      internship experience of working in professional interior designer/ Architects/interior     
      contractors office.   

DIPLOMA IN INTERIOR DESIGNING & DECORATION (DIDD)

 Eligibility:

D.I.D.D. (First Year)

  • HSC (10+2) Maharashtra, H.S.C. Board or equivalent Board of any State.
  • Passing of (10+2) Course in Architecture, Civil, Construction Technology, Building Supervisor, Assistant Architect, Architect/Civil Draughtsman recognized by the Technical Education Board or University.
  • Preference shall be given to the students who have passed intermediate Drawing Grade Examination or technical qualification.

            Practical training on the related subjects in the respective semesters will be given to the students.

Internship:

To complete the course, each student is required to undergo twelve  weeks full time  internship experience in Architect’s  or Designer’s / Registered Contractor’s Office every year in the vacation period.The University declares the Final Year results only after the authentic record of internship along with the Principal’s Certificate.

 
Working Hours for : BDFC / BFTM / BID / DIDD  courses
9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.
